More than 50 Fairfax County companies, including Cox Communications of Herndon and Preferred Siding Inc. of Reston, will be among the more than 300 exhibits showcasing top renovating-related products and services at the Remodeling Expo, a brand new consumer show coming to the Dulles Expo Center on Jan. 28-30.

Show highlights include celebrity appearances by Michael Moloney from thetelevision show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on Saturday and Norma Vally, host of the Discovery Home Channel's how-to program, Toolbelt Diva on Friday and Saturday; kitchen workshops on design trends and products conducted by expert Jim Krengel, a certified master kitchen and bath designer and former national president of the National Kitchen & Bath Association on all three days; entertaining presentations by Dr. Gadget who will demonstrate and give away some remodeling products on all three days; The NARI Workshop presented by the Washington, D.C., metro chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) where consumers can bring their design and renovating plans, pictures and questions, and consult one-on-one with professional experts; and more than 300 exhibits featuring remodeling-related products and services. The Remodeling Expo opens Friday, Jan. 28 through Sunday, Jan. 30, at the Dulles Expo Center in the North Hall, located at 4368 Chantilly Shopping Center in Chantilly. Show hours are 4-9:30 p.m. Friday; 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.

Admission is $8 for adults; $3 for children ages 6 to 12 and free for kids 5 and under. Tickets are available during show hours.

The Fairfax County offices of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage (CBRB) offer free weekly career seminars for those interested in learning more about a career in real estate. Information about the residential real estate profession and the opportunities available are among the topics to be discussed. The seminar is appropriate for those interested in starting a new career as well as for experienced sales associates looking to work with the "Company of Choice in the Mid-Atlantic region."
