The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer's Faith and Life Forums are one-hour programs featuring a speaker and followed by discussion relating to the topic of living one's Christian faith on a daily basis. They take place every Sunday at 9:45 a.m.
On Sunday, March 13, Redeemer member Doug Scheffler will discuss "St. Mark and His Gospel."
On Sunday, March 20, Professor Denise Hopkins of the Wesley Theological Seminary will lead a discussion on "The Religious Atmosphere of First-Century Palestine."
The March 27 forum will not be held, due to the Easter Holiday.

Dr. Anthony Tambasco, Georgetown professor, and Ann Marie Mack, Christian educator, will speak on different parts of the Bible as part of Saint Luke Catholic Church’s Adult Faith Formation Presentations. Trinity United Methodist Church, 1205 Dolley Madison Blvd., McLean, offers Alpha Class, a 10-week opportunity to explore the validity and relevance of the Christian faith for our lives today. It is a practical introduction to the basics of Christianity with plenty of opportunity for debate and discussion. The style of Alpha is informal, friendly and nonpressured. "Last Supper" Re-enactment. St. Luke's United Methodist Church 7628 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, holds a re-enactment of the Last Supper on Thursday, March 24 at 7:30 p.m. All are welcome to join in this intimate worship event, which relives the last night Jesus spent with his disciples. Chabad Lubavitch of Northern Virginia will host its annual Purim Celebration, creating Jewish excitement and fun for the whole family. The entire Jewish community is invited regardless of affiliation or background. It will be an Italian-themed Purim party with Italian food, a Purim masquerade competition, live music, children's entertainment, arts and crafts, games, prizes and more! Rabbi Pavarotti will read the Megillah (the Biblical Book of Esther).
