Horses and their owners brought competition to the trails and pastures of Frying Pan Park May 7 and 8 for the Difficult Run Pony Club Horse Trials.
Conducted in accordance with the USA Equestrian Association rules for combined training, the two-day event allowed riders of all skill levels to compete.
In addition to cross country competitions for novice riders of varying degrees that ran throughout the park, the event also showcased stadium jumping and dressage.
Riders were judged and received awards at the end of the competition based on their performance and speed, among other things.
