The Loudoun County Department of Social Services will be providing a series of Homebuyer Education Workshops to assist potential first-time homebuyers in understanding the entire home buying process. The six-hour workshop will cover a number of topics relating to homeownership, including budgeting, credit, working with Realtors, the mortgage process and what to expect at settlement. Workshops will be held 10 times in 2006, with the first scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 17, and Thursday, Jan. 19, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., in the Training Room of the offices of Keller Williams Real Estate, 50 Catoctin Circle in Leesburg. Attendance at both sessions is required. Additional workshop dates and locations may be found on the Loudoun County Government Web site at www.loudoun.gov/housing.
