The Elden Street Players is in its 18th season. As a group, the Players produces original and previously published works and dramas not normally seen in community theater. The intimate setting of the Industrial Strength Theatre, located in Herndon at 269 Sunset Business Park on Spring Street in Herndon, allows no audience member to be more than 20 feet away from the open-arena stage.

Reston Community Players is in its 39th year. The Vienna Theatre Company started in 1974. A nonprofit organization, Vienna Theatre Company is the resident company of the Vienna Community Center. The Alliance Theatre began March 2001 with its first production, Neil Simon’s “I Ought to Be in Pictures.” Under the direction of Pat Kallman and her partner Elaine Wilson, the Alliance Theatre brings professional-quality theater to the community. The Alliance Theatre encourages community participation through open auditions for actors and crew members. Alliance Theatre performances take place at local high schools, with the last two taking place at Chantilly High School.

The GMU Players is a student-run organization supported by the Department of Theater.
