Police Need Help Solving Pool Break-ins

Fairfax County Crime Solvers is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the person(s) responsible for burglarizing numerous pools in the Clifton and Centreville areas. Since July 13, there have been five break-ins at these community pools. The incidents occurred as follows:

* Between 9:30 p.m. on July 13 and 8:30 a.m. on July 14 at the Little Rocky Run Recreation Center #3, located at 13900 Stonefield Drive in Clifton.

* Between 9:30 p.m. on July 14 and 8:40 a.m. on July 15 at the Little Rocky Run Recreation Center, located at 13775 Little Rocky Run Circle in Clifton.

* Between 11:30 p.m. on July 14 and 10:45 a.m. on July 15 at the Little Rocky Run Recreation Center #2, located at 6201 Sandstone Way in Clifton.

* Between 9 p.m. on July 24 and 6:30 a.m. on July 25 at the Centreville Farms Community Association Pool, located at 5401 Calamint Court in Centreville.

* Between 9 p.m. on July 26 and 8:50 a.m. on July 27 at the Centreville Farms Community Association Pool, located at 5401 Calamint Court in Centreville.

In each break-in, the suspect(s) gained entry to the pool office by prying open a door or window. Miscellaneous items were taken from inside, and in some of the break-ins, the suspect(s) damaged property as well.

In addition to the burglaries, police were called to the Centreville Farms Community Association Pool for two other incidents:

* Between 8 p.m. on July 31 and 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 1, the lock on the office door was destroyed but nothing was taken from inside.

* Between 9 p.m. on Aug. 2 and 10 a.m. on Aug. 3, unknown person(s) unlawfully entered the pool office and moved items around but nothing was taken. The office door was found standing open.

Anyone with information on any of these incidents or the suspect(s) involved is asked to call Fairfax County Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS/8477. A $100 to $1,000 cash reward will be paid for information that leads to an arrest. As always, callers never have to give their names or appear in court. Callers may remain anonymous.
