James Edward Hall died on July 2 at his home in Alexandria. He worked for 50 years in the engineering trade and was a Korean veteran of the United States Navy. He is preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Elonora Sisson Vassallo and his stepfather, Samuel J. Vassallo. He is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Anne Vinning and Teresa Gayle Sprouse; two sons, James E. Hall, Jr. and Joseph F. Hall; and two sisters, Flora A. Hall and Cecelia Vassallo Saunders. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Services are private. Arrangements by Cunningham Funeral Home.
