Memorial Day Ceremony at

On Monday, May 28, at 11 a.m., the Friends of the Great Falls Freedom Memorial will host a Memorial Day service at the Great Falls Freedom Memorial, in remembrance for those who have died defending the nation. Brigadier General, Vincente Blaz, U.S. Marine Corps, retired, will be the keynote speaker and share officiating duties with Dranesville Supervisor Joan DuBois.

To support troops currently serving in the armed forces, the Friends of the Great Falls Freedom Memorial will be collecting funds for the purchase of international calling cards for soldier stationed overseas. Residents are asked to use the collection jars placed at local businesses or send a check made out to "Friends of the Great Falls Memorial" and mail to Great Falls Charitable Foundation, P.O. Box 295, Great Falls, VA 22066.
