On April 5, the Thomas Jefferson crew team had a dominant showing, as all eight competition shells (four men’s eights and four women’s eights) took first place finishes at the Walter Mess Regatta on the Occoquan River. Last week, the men’s and women’s first and second eights defeated St. Albans and National Cathedral in a race on the Potomac River. The men’s V8 has repeatedly captured the region’s “triple crown” – the Virginia State, SRAA National and Stotesbury Cups.
