Earth Day Fair. This annual family fun fair will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine, at 850 Hungerford Drive, Rockville. Residents are encouraged to bring their household electronics for recycling or confidential papers for off-site shredding and recycling.

Pick up the new Junior Ranger Handbook, complete its fun activities, and become an official Junior Ranger for both parks on the same day. Junior Ranger handbooks are free. Strauss Waltz Ball. Waltz Time presents the Silver Anniversary of the "Evening With Strauss" waltz ball in the Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo Park, 7300 MacArthur Blvd., Glen Echo. This special benefit dance for the Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture includes a Viennese Waltz lesson from 8-9 p.m., followed by a program of classical waltzes from 9 p.m. to midnight in the style of "Old Vienna." Dancers are encouraged to wear formal attire. In keeping with this 25-year tradition, the restored Dentzel Carousel will be open for dancers to enjoy rides until 11 p.m. No partner required. <cal2>Rockville Science Day. DEP’s Senior Energy Planner Eric Coffman will discuss current and future energy-efficiency and clean energy technologies. DEP biological monitoring staff, Jenny St. John and Rachel Gauza, will exhibit aquatic invertebrates and fish, as well as amphibian and reptile species found in and near local streams. Posters on Montgomery County’s fish, amphibians and reptiles will be handed out. Film Screening. Cinema Art Bethesda will show "The Comedy of Power," a feminine magistrate battling a corrupt CEO.
