Arlene Laird and Patri Bschorr, mixed media artists, present their work through Aug. 31 at the Reston Community Center Lake Anne Jo Ann Rose Gallery. The Jo Ann Rose Gallery is in the Reston Community Center Lake Anne located at 1609-A Washington Plaza in Reston. The facility is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Paint Herndon Quick Sketch & Finale occurs Monday, Sept. 1, at 11 a.m. Artists of all ages are welcome to join this light-hearted event at ArtSpace Herndon 750 Center St., Herndon. Bring paints, pencils, pastels or even crayons to check-in. Cost is $10 for each artist. Create a new piece of artwork on this day and return it to the Herndon Old Town Hall green by 3 p.m. for judging and the opportunity to win prizes. The artwork of three winners will be chosen to hang in the gallery. Awards event at 6 p.m. at ArtSpace Herndon. Exhibit and awards event free to the public.

The Reston Community Center is looking for artists to be a part of the September Multicultural Art Exhibit in the RCC Lake Anne Jo Ann Rose Gallery. Sunset Hills Montessori School’s PTA is seeking artisans and crafters for their 2nd Annual Fine Arts and Crafts Show that will be held Saturday, Sept. 20. In addition to gaining exposure and making some money, artists can feel good in knowing that they will also be contributing to a good cause as all registration fees will be used to construct a new library for the students of Sunset Hills Montessori School. Entries will be accepted until Sept. 5 or the show fills whichever happens first. Booth space prices range from $75- $125 depending on location. The Greater Reston Arts Center’s annual C-Note Sale is Sunday, Sept. 28, open for art preview at 11 a.m. with light brunch provided, and sale starting at 1 p.m. GRACE will display the available works of art beginning Tuesday, Sept. 2 during gallery hours, Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.

GRACE celebrates the C-Note exhibition with a public reception and Silent Auction on Thursday, Sept. 11 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., at the Greater Reston Arts Center, 12001 Market Street, Reston.
