Congratulations to Kara Fahy, a fourth grade teacher at Rolling Valley Elementary School in Springfield. She was selected for the Fairfax County Public School teacher-in-residence position at the National Air and Space Museum’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. Fahy will act as a liaison between FCPS and the Smithsonian Institution to facilitate student academic and enrichment programs. This is a great two-year opportunity for Kara to integrate her teaching background with her previous experiences interning and volunteering for the National Museum of American History and the National Postal Museum. She will officially start on July 28. Fahy loves the Rolling Valley community and hopes many of her students will come to visit her at the Udvar-Hazy Center.
