Robinson’s Yearbook Wins Gold Crown Award

Robinson Middle School's yearbook, the Sentry, won a Gold Crown award in the Middle School-Junior High Yearbook category from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association last week. A total of 1,355 magazines, newspapers and yearbooks were entered in the 2008 competition. Gold Crown Awards are presented to 11 yearbooks nationally for last year's yearbooks. Pat Hinman is the advisor at Robinson.

The co-editors in chief were Carly Gordon and Andrew Miller, now both ninth-graders. Carly, 15, is the daughter of Lisa and Gary Gordon of Fairfax. With a 4.0 GPA, she is involved in volleyball and the guitar ensemble. Andrew, 15, is the son of Matt and Peggi Miller of Fairfax. With a 3.6 GPA, he played freshman football and JV lacrosse.
