The West Potomac volleyball team was unable to make it past the first-round of the Patriot District volleyball tournament, losing to No. 1 seed South County on Monday night. If the Wolverines had won, they would have qualified for the Northern Region Championships.
Under first-year coach Molly Szychulski, West Potomac rebounded well from an 0-9 start, reeling off four straight wins before closing the regular season with two losses. The Wolverines were led all year by senior Leigh Blair and junior Madison Tindle.
