Derek Alvey, a Thomas S. Wootton High School Graduate and currently an engineering major at Montgomery College, is one of four riders to represent the U.S. at the International Pacific Exchange, an international equestrian competition to be held in Hong Kong in July. To support his participation which will cost $4,000, a tax-deductible contribution can be made by making a check payable to Seneca Valley Pony Club- Escrow Fund – Derek Alvey International Eventing competition. The riding team will meet in New Jersey and train together with their coach for a week before flying together over to Hong Kong on July 23.
