On Tuesday morning, Jan. 19, volunteers from Dominion Virginia Power read to students in 12 classrooms, grades K-3, at Saratoga Elementary School in Springfield. Dominion also donated picture books about Martin Luther King Jr. to the school's library. The volunteer event kicked off a week-long celebration at Dominion to commemorate the accomplishments of African-American leaders. It will

culminate with Dominion's Strong Men and Women awards program in

Richmond on Thursday evening, where high school junior/seniors will be

recognized for their winning essays about African-American role

models.
