The music started at noon on stage in the MAX, a Signature Theatre highlights concert — looking ahead to the new season, “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas,” “Hello Dolly!,” and “Company.” Throughout the afternoon, Aug. 4, music was in the air as the lobby turned into a cabaret with actors performing from audition books, the plaza was entertained by the Junkyard Saints, Rob Britton Lyons of the original Broadway cast of “Million Dollar Quartet,” Chuck Mead and his Grassy Knoll Boys, The Bitter Dose Combo and, as a grand finale, Broadway on the Plaza. The theatres, the MAX, and the Ark and in the Shen were back-to-back with entertainment and a special master class conducted by artistic director Eric Schaeffer.
