Mount Vernon — Honest-1 Auto Care, a full-service auto repair and maintenance franchise that is 100 percent ESA Certified Eco-Friendly, recently opened its newest location at 8648 Richmond Highway in Alexandria. This opening marks the first Honest-1 Auto Care location to open in Virginia.
Honest-1 Auto Care offers specialized, eco-auto care programs for those who want to play a greater part in helping the environment. An example is the ECO TuneUp with a Eco-360 fuel treatment. Through a partnership with Green Earth Technologies, Honest-1 also sells G-OIL Ultimate Biodegradable motor oil, made of renewable animal fats. To further show its commitment to the environment, Honest-1 Auto Care has a partnership with American Forests, a leading nonprofit organization that plants trees for environmental restoration, and has funded the planting of 100,000 trees through the charitable donation of revenues collected from repair orders nationwide.
Sudhakar Tammireddi is co-owner of the new Honest-1 Auto Care shop with his wife Veni. The Tamirreddis were born and raised in southeast India and came to America in 1997 to pursue a better life. Sudhakar has a background in mechanical engineering and more than 17 years of experience in the software industry.
