ASSAULT
Lockheed Blvd./ Richmond Highway, April 25, 11:20 p.m. A Connector bus driver reported an intoxicated man threw beer on him as the suspect departed the bus. The suspect was not located.
BURGLARY
8300 block of East Boulevard Drive, April 12, 2 p.m. A UPS driver alerted police to an open door. An investigation revealed that someone broke into the home through the front door and stole jewelry.
9500 block of Lynnhall Place, April 3 between 8 a.m.-6 p.m. The victim reported that checks were stolen and cashed. She was notified on April 6 by the bank that her account was overdrawn.
8700 block of Richmond Highway, April 19, 7:20 a.m. Officers responded for several businesses which were broken into. It is unclear what was taken and there was damage to all the businesses.
4800 block of Old Mill Road, April 21, 9 p.m. The victim reported someone entered her home and stole cash from her purse. Entry was possibly made through a rear unlocked door.
ROBBERY
7200 block of Richmond Highway, April 7, 2:45 a.m. The victim reported being robbed by a single suspect. The suspect approached from behind, implied a weapon and took a cell phone and cash.
2200 block of Farrington Ave., April 9, 10:40 p.m. The victim reported two men approached her, struck her, stole her purse and fled. She was treated for minor injuries.
ASSAULT/ ATTEMPTED ROBBERY
3600 block of Buckman Road, April 12, 12:45 a.m. Three men approached the 29-year-old victim and attempted to go through his pockets. He fought the suspects off and was able to flee. Nothing was taken and the victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
ANIMAL BITE/ RUNNING AT LARGE
5800 block of North Kings Highway, April 18, 12:20 p.m. A U.S. mail carrier was delivering mail when a Labrador Retriever ran at the carrier and bit him in the stomach. The dog owner, a 55-year-iold male of Alexandria, was charged with no dog license. The Labrador was routinely quarantined.
