Police Investigating Reston Teen Death
On Wednesday, July 31, shortly before 2 a.m., officers came
upon a 2009 Infiniti, four-door sedan stopped on Lee Highway over
Interstate 495.
The preliminary investigation determined that a 17-year-old girl, for
unknown reasons, exited the rear passenger compartment of the
Infiniti while it was being driven by her grandparents. The girl fell onto
the travel lanes of Lee Highway. Her injuries were determined to be
life threatening and she was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital.
On Tuesday, Aug. 13, around 3:40 p.m., the 17-year-old, Jasmyne
Grant, of Reston, was pronounced dead.
The Crash Reconstruction Unit is continuing the investigation.
