McLean Community Center Begins Fall Class Registration
The McLean Community Center (MCC) opened registration for its fall session classes, events and activities on Monday, Aug. 19, for the residents of Small District 1A-Dranesville who pay a special real estate tax surcharge to fund the center. All others can begin registering on Monday, Aug. 26. MCC offers more than 80 classes this fall for infants through senior adults who want to pursue various interests. MCC offers 24-hour online registration and the center is located at 1234 Ingleside Ave., McLean. Charity Champions to Hold Fundraiser for SHARE
HBC Realty Group’s (Keller Williams Realty) Community Charity Champions will hold a fundraiser for SHARE, Inc. Come to dinner on Tuesday, Sept. 10, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Pulcinella Italian Host in McLean to support SHARE, Inc. Approximately 70 percent of the proceeds from food and drink will go to the charity, as long as the diner brings the flyer for the event. SHARE, Inc. is a non-profit, nonsectarian, all-volunteer community relief organization helping people in need in McLean, Great Falls and Pimmit Hills area for over 40 years. They provide essential assistance through their food pantry, where people and families in need throughout the community can go for assistance with groceries. SHARE also provides emergency financial assistance, used furniture pick-up and delivery, distributes grocery gift cards at Thanksgiving and the holidays, holiday gifts, school supplies and rides to medical appointments.
