Meeting to Focus on Intersection Improvements

A public information meeting will be held to present proposed improvements planned for the intersection of Herndon Parkway and Van Buren Street. Attendees will be able to review options, learn how the plans address intersection congestion, ask questions and provide comments.

The meeting will take place Wednesday, July 17, 7 p.m. at Ingram Council Chambers, 765 Lynn Street, Herndon. Plans available for review at 6:30 p.m.

The MOMS Club to Host Water and Pool Safety Session

The MOMS Club of Herndon will host a Water and Pool Safety session on Thursday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Herndon Monroe Swim Club (1114 Monroe St., Herndon). All Herndon (zip codes 20170 and 20171) stay at-home mothers are encouraged to attend this free event.

A lifeguard from the Herndon Monroe Swim Club will provide mothers with tips for keeping children safe in and around the pool. After the talk, children and moms in attendance will have time to enjoy playing in the pool.
