Inspired by history and supported by the Alexandria Commission of the Arts, Torpedo Factory sculptor Christopher Erney created a “Torpedo Bike.” The “bike” is made from plywood, stainless steel and fiberglass and covered with aircraft grade aluminum. It was created to promote the artists and activities at the Alexandria’s Torpedo Art Factory. As the “Torpedo Bike” travels the streets of the city it leaves a trail of bubbles in its wake. Erney is in Studio 33 of the Torpedo Art Factory.
