Two shopping events are coming up at a retirement community in Lake Ridge. In October, a thrift fashion show plus sale and in November, a handcrafts Bazaar with vendor fair. With fall and winter holidays approaching, these Westminster at Lake Ridge events are an opportunity for bargain hunters to begin their search for gifts and resale fashions.
The Encore Fashion Show and Sale will be held Wednesday, Oct. 15, 7 p.m.-9 p.m. The event features casual, business, and dressy fashions modeled by Westminster staff. The fashions will be for sale at the end of the event. The fashion event will also feature a jewelry sale and a fun Chinese auction where raffle ticket buyers enter to win prizes. The event is open to the public and the admission is free.
On Friday, Nov. 7, 1-6 p.m., the annual Westminster at Lake Ridge Handicrafts Bazaar, Bake Sale and Vendor Fair is expected to be a shopping extravaganza. Traditional crafts such as knitted items, fall and holiday décor wreathes, centerpieces and ornaments will help shoppers get ready for the season. Favorite home-baked goods will also be offered. The Vendor Fair will feature Silpada jewelry and Thirty One bags and other local small business owners who can help make gift giving a joy.
Proceeds from the Bazaar will make it possible for Santa to bring gift bags for the Prince William Boys and Girls Club at the annual Christmas party hosted by Westminster at Lake Ridge. The other half of the proceeds will support the Westminster at Lake Ridge Residents Supporting Fund. The Bazaar is open to the public and free to attend.
Parking is provided in the large lot to the left of the main entrance. Visitors are welcome to park in any space not marked Reserved.
