The Lamb Center Celebration Banquet

Fairfax City day shelter for the homeless hosts biggest fundraiser of the year on Oct. 7.

The Lamb Center is hosting their annual Celebration Banquet on Oct. 7, at The Waterford at Fair Oaks. Each fall, members of the community are invited to attend this event designed to celebrate the ongoing mission of The Lamb Center and learn more about the ways in which The Lamb Center is serving poor and homeless individuals in Fairfax County. This year is especially exciting because The Lamb Center has recently begun the process of procuring a new building that will better serve the growing needs of the ministry and those whom it serves.

“This is our biggest fundraiser of the year,” said John MacPherson, The Lamb Center’s executive director. “It is also the opportunity for us to share the stories of transformation that are taking place at The Lamb Center on a daily basis,” he added. “We will have several of our Lamb Center guests tell their stories and we will talk about our vision for the new Lamb Center building. It promises to be an inspirational evening and we are hoping for a big turnout.”

This year’s event has received widespread sponsorship support from local businesses and individuals who share The Lamb Center’s concern for homeless and hurting individuals in our community. To date, our business partners include HMSHost, 3 Phoenix, Matt Stone Agency: Nationwide Insurance, Scott-Long Construction, Yates, Campbell & Hoeg, LLP., and The King’s Mason. Businesses interested in learning more about partnership opportunities, please contact event organizers at tlccelebration@gmail.com

The Lamb Center was founded in 1992 and the mission of the organization is to combat homelessness by transforming lives through Christian spirituality, counseling and service.
