Hundreds of people came out for the Halloween Spooktacular held on Saturday, Oct. 31 at the Great Falls Village Centre Green in Great Falls. Children dressed in Halloween costumes went trick-or-treating from merchant to merchant outside on the Green. For the second year in a row, a Howling Haunted House was set up on the Green by Boy Scout Troop 55 of St. Francis Episcopal Church. Adeler Jewelers also decorated their Spooky Porch and handed out candy along with other merchants, including The Old Brogue. A Pet Parade sponsored by Great Dogs of Great Falls was held on the grounds before the Spooktacular began. The Spooktacular was launched over 20 years ago by Great Falls Friends to provide younger children with a convenient place in Great Falls to have fun trick-or-treating.
