Mount Vernon Viewpoints: Why was it important to you to come out and vote today?

Evans Appiah of Mount Vernon: “These guys decide how resources are shared, apportioned. School resources is an important issue for me. Your no or yes makes a big difference.”

Carl A Dutzman of the Bucknell area of Mount Vernon: “I vote every year, every year there’s an election. It’s our responsibility, and it doesn’t matter which party, I vote for the character, the person, their background. Fairfax County has to get their tax code together. We can’t keep borrowing money if we don’t have it. We need people who have some concept of you can’t have every wish granted.”
