Fusion Dental Supports Community

Fusion Dental-Reston is joining the program called “Treats for Troops” that collects uneaten Halloween candy that children and parents will have left over after Oct. 31 and distributes it worldwide to U.S. military troops.

“It’s easy. Just bring us your unopened Halloween candy between Nov. 1 and Nov. 9. The Fusion Dental-Reston office is located at 11503 Sunrise Valley Drive in Reston,” said Kelly Labs, D.M.D., Orthodontist at Fusion Dental-Reston. “We will match your candy with toothbrushes and toothpaste to send to the troops as well. We are also encouraging folks to write a letter, or card, and enclose a photo or two.”

Fusion Dental-Reston’s Pediatric and Orthodontic departments, especially Drs. Robert Averne, Joyce Fernandes and Kelly Labs, are leading the way this year with Treats for Troops by encouraging their patients to participate.

Fusion Dental-Reston is also supporting the 2015-2016 “Winter Coat Closet,” sponsored by Hunter Mill Supervisor Cathy Hudgins and Cornerstones, a local nonprofit organization that provides support and advocacy for those in need of food, shelter, affordable housing, quality childcare and other human services.

“Winter Coat Closet is an annual drive to provide coats and other outerwear for those in need – especially as we head into the cold winter months,” said Elaine Barlan, D.D.S. “Patient scheduling manager Willette Boyette is coordinating our efforts to collect the following donations: new or gently used (in good condition and cleaned) winter coats and new hats, gloves, mittens and scarves – in both adult and child sizes, especially children’s sizes and men’s XXL-5XL sizes.”

Donations can be dropped off at Fusion Dental-Reston, 11503 Sunrise Valley Drive in Reston, from Nov. 9 until Dec. 4. More at www.FusionDentalGroup.com.
