Shepherd’s Center of McLean-Arlington-Falls Church Seeks Volunteers
The mission of the Shepherd’s Center is to give senior citizens free transportation to medical and therapy appointments, the pharmacy and grocery store. The Center is also recruiting volunteers willing to visit them in their homes and to make phone calls from time to time to let lonely seniors know they have not been forgotten. In many cases, volunteers are the only contacts some seniors have with anyone. No long term commitment is required and volunteers accept to take someone to a medical appointment, make a visit or call only when their schedule permits.
To find out more about the Shepherd’s Center and how you can volunteer to provide transportation and other services, call the Center number at 703-506-2199 or e-mail the Center at email@example.com. The Center’s website is www.scmafc.org.
