Potomac River Running Store Opens in Vienna

Local, family-owned Potomac River Running Store has opened a new location, its eighth, in downtown Vienna. To celebrate the grand opening, the company is throwing a weekend-long party full of free active events, prizes, and family funl. The festivities start Friday, Sept. 8 and run through Sunday, Sept. 10.

“We are very excited to bring Potomac River Running to the community of Vienna. Whether it be running, walking, chasing the kids, or standing on your feet all day for work, we would love to assist you with your footwear needs,” said Ray Pugsley, owner of Potomac River Running. “With the help of Superfeet, we have integrated cutting edge technology into our shoe fitting to assist with our complimentary gait analysis process.”

Join the Potomac River Running owners, staff, and community during the official ribbon cutting ceremony led by the mayor of Vienna, Laurie DiRocco, on Thursday, Sept. 7 at 6:30 p.m.

Friday night will kick-off with a happy hour featuring free beverage tastings from local Vienna establishments, as well as prize drawings and fantastic sales sponsored by Feetures.

Saturday morning will start with a group run led by Moms Run This Town followed by a free Yoga for Runners session from SourceCore Studio. Sunday morning will feature a free CrossFit for Runners from CrossFit Mill Street. Prizes, swag, and promotions from Brooks, Saucony, The North Face, Garmin, Swiftwick, Balega, Trigger Point, and much more.
