The Fairfax County Planning Commission unanimously approved to defer for decision only action to consider on an application submitted by JBG/Reston Executive Center, LLC to a date certain of Sept. 13, 2018, with the record remaining open for comment.
The parcel is located on the northside of Sunset Hills Road and west side of Town Center Parkway on approximately 13.8 acres of land. Currently, it is zoned I-5 General Industrial District.
According to Fairfax County, the Proposed Zoning is Planned Development Commercial (PDC) to permit mixed-use development with an overall Floor Area Ratio (FAR) of 3.14 and approval of the conceptual and final development plan.
The applicant proposes that the property be rezoned to permit a mixed-use development consisting of 1.1 million square feet of office, 576 residential units and 90,100 square feet of retail/restaurant uses.
Staff is recommending approvals.
