A 31-year-old man from Chantilly is facing several robbery charges in four commercial robberies at gas stations in the Sully District since Jan. 23:
Jan. 23: 6330 Multiplex Drive Circle K
Feb. 1: 5501 Union Mill Road Shell
Feb. 10: 13825 Lee Highway Exxon
Feb. 18: 5501 Union Mill Road Shell
The dispatch center received a suspicious person call for a man who was sleeping in the 13900 block of Lee Jackson Memorial Highway. Officers found the man and immediately recognized the suspect who provided a false name. When officers went to take him into custody, he ran away. After a short foot chase, officers placed him under arrest. He was charged with the four listed robberies, one outstanding robbery warrant on an unrelated case, and held on no bond.
