Bank Robbery in Reston

Police ask for public's help identifying bank robbery suspect.

Detectives from the Reston Police District Major Crimes Bureau are investigating a bank robbery at the BB&T Bank, located at 2513 Fox Mill Road in Reston. Just before 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 21, a man entered the bank, implied he had a gun, and demanded money. He was given cash before leaving the bank on foot. No one was injured. Officers arrived on scene within minutes of the call and thoroughly searched the area. The suspect is described as light-skinned, 20 to 30 years old, 5’8” tall, thin build, wearing a dark gray shirt, light colored jacket and a gray cap.
