Commonwealth Republican Women’s Club Discusses Grant Book

Beverly Dougherty, Nadine Bacaj, Annetta Catchings, Mary Labernik, Susie Miller, Linda Greenberg, Catherine Vercaemert, Linda App, and Susan Yonts-Shepard met to discuss a book on President Ulysses S. Grant.

After enjoying the Scottish Walk earlier in the day, members of the Commonwealth Republican Women’s Club (CRWC) in Alexandria met to discuss Bret Baier’s newest bestseller, To Rescue the Republic: Ulysses S. Grant, The Fragile Union, and the Crisis of 1876. Baier’s account was hailed by the group as a fascinating description of how President Grant preserved the union from another civil war in 1876.

CRWC is the Alexandria chapter of both the Virginia and the National Federation of Republican Women (VFRW and NFRW). More information is available at www.AlexandriaCRWC.org
