Hunger Action Week has drawn to a close, and the St. Paul VI Catholic High School community is celebrating success in its annual food drive benefiting Food for Others.

Paul VI has partnered with Food for Others for over 35 years. Food for Others is a vital organization in Northern Virginia, that acts both as a food bank, distributing resources to other locations, and as a food pantry, directly assisting individuals and families in need in Loudoun and Fairfax Counties. Paul VI extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in this year's food drive.

The food drive was coordinated by the Student Government Association. The focus this year was on items needed for the Power Pack Program, which provides weekend meals to students facing food insecurity.

The following items were collected for this vital program: Approximately 10,246 mac & cheese and Chef Boyardee meals were donated; Approximately 63,186 breakfast meals (of cereal and oatmeal); 23,589 ramen & Cup Noodles; 26,069 fruit cups and apple sauce pouches; 27,502 mainly canned vegetables mixed with some fruit cups/apple sauce and mac & cheese

St. Paul VI Catholic High School remains committed to our mission of serving others and making a positive impact in our community.
