Thomas, 40, an unemployed carpenter who has been living in the woods near Reston Town Center since Christmas Eve, agreed to be interviewed by volunteers and homeless advocates during Registry Week. Wearing a dark blue hoodie for warmth, Thomas was one of the 462 chronically homeless individuals interviewed during Registry Week.
