<mh>Bob Levey to Speak at Awards Ceremony
<bt>Bob Levy, the award-winning newspaper columnist, will speak at the 2002 Fairfax County Volunteer Service Awards ceremony on April 23. The breakfast ceremony, which honors both corporate and individual volunteers, will take place at the Hilton McLean at Tysons Corner.
Volunteer Fairfax will accept nominations for the 2002 awards until Monday, Feb. 25 at 5 p.m. Nominators need to submit an application designating individuals or groups that have volunteered exceptional time, energy, and expertise to the community. <mh Juried Exhibition Winners
<bt>The League of Reston Artists in partnership with Walker and Company named the winners of their Small Works Juried Exhibition as selected by juror Helen Dilley Barsalou, watercolor and collage artist. There were 118 entries from 47 LRA member artists and 42 works were accepted.

Awards will be presented during the opening reception on Wednesday, Feb. 13 from 5-7 p.m. at the Walker and Company Headquarters, 12007 Sunrise Valley Drive, 4th Floor, Reston. Visitors to the exhibition are welcome Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
<mh>New Partners
<bt>Deborah E. Haines and Carolyn K. Menzie are new partners at the Reston firm of Cocke, Szpanka and Taylor, CPAs, PC.
<mh>Grove Named
SAW Finalist
<bt>Dan Grove, of Reston, is a finalist in the 18th Mid-Atlantic Song Contest sponsored by the Songwriters' Association of Washington (SAW). Grove's song "Inner Weasel Rag" was a finalist in the open category.
<mh>McGuire Elected President
Of Sons of Revolution.
<bt>Dan McGuire of Reston was elected president of the Sons of the Revolution in the District of Columbia. He was presented the gavel of office which was from timbers of the U.S. Constitution and the U.S. Capitol which was burned by the British in the War of 1812. The SR consists of members who are direct descendants of those who fought in the American Revolutionary War. The club was founded in 1889.
McGuire is also a member of the Society of the Cincinnati and the Sons of the American Revolution, George Washington Chapter, Alexandria, where he is president.
