<lst>The following incidents were reported to the Reston District of the Fairfax County Police Department:
Officers from the Reston, Franconia, West Springfield District Station as well as motor officers from the Operations Support Bureau participated in increased traffic enforcement on the Fairfax County Parkway between 10 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 26 through Feb. 8, 2002. The results of this proactive police effort reinforce the need for such strategic enforcement. During this enforcement, a total of 1,099 motorists were stopped for various violations. Of these violations, 965 summonses and 198 warning tickets were issued. The top locations for the violations were on the Fairfax County Parkway and the following intersections: Lee Highway, Hooes Road, Braddock Road and Franklin Farm Road.
ROBBERY
Parcher Avenue 13100 block - A man, 33, was standing outside the 7-Eleven store when two men approached and asked for money. The man took some money from his wallet and one suspect grabbed the money and punched the victim in the face before fleeing. The victim was not seriously injured.
