Queen Noor is Guest at Benefit for McLean Project for the Arts

A starry night and luminous guest, Queen Noor of Jordan, highlighted the spring benefit for the McLean Project of the Arts.

It was held at the Waverly Way residence of Leslie Kerman and Jeff Bialos.

The queen, a graduate of Princeton University who earned a degree in architecture and urban planning, married King Hussein of Jordan in 1978. He died in 1999.

Her parents live in McLean.

She works for cross-cultural understanding in Western/Arab relations.

She graciously stayed and mingled until the event drew to a close.

The Project for the Arts sponsors art classes and exhibits at the McLean Community Center.
