The Greater Reston Art Center (GRACE) has announced the 2003 Award Winners for the Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival held May 17-18 at the Reston Town Center. Awards were given to the following two and three dimensional fine art and fine craft artists:
Best in Show:
Mariko Swisher (clay)
Fine Art:
First Award, Mathew Connell (oil/acrylic)
Second Award, David McKirdy (mixed media-2d)
Third Award, Valerie and Johnson Nicklow -Johnson (mixed media-2d)
Craft:
First Award, Carol Fugmann (jewelry)
Second Award, Dixie Biggs (wood)
Third Award. Sally Bright (decorative fiber)
Judges Choices:
Robert Anderson (metal)
Margaret Dyer (drawing/pastel)
Margaret Regan (jewelry)
Woody Jones (wood)
The award winners were also given cash awards and acceptance into next year's festival.
