Assault

<lst>100 block of Laurel Way. At 10:33 p.m. on April 1, the complainant was struck in the head with a bat by an unknown assailant.

1100 block of Burwick Drive. At 7:32 p.m. on March 30, the complainant stated an acquaintance hit him. Minor injuries were observed. A witness gave a conflicting story. The complainant did not wish to press charges.

1100 block of Cypress Tree Court. At 12:05 a.m. on April 1, the complainant reported an acquaintance punched her in the face and tried to choke her. Minor injuries were observed. Lawrence Tellis Jr., a 43-year-old male of Herndon, was arrested at a later date and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

1000 block of Elden Street. At 7:30 p.m. on April 1, Jacqueline Escobar, a 39-year-old female of Reston, was arrested for drunk in public. During the arrest, she bit a police officer and cursed at the officer. Escobar was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where additional warrants were obtained for assault on a police officer and curse and abuse.

<cal1>Destruction of Property

<lst>700 block on Center Street. At 4:49 p.m. on March 29, graffiti was spray painted on the wall of a town building.

700 block of Monroe Street. At 7:27 a.m. on March 30, graffiti was spray painted on two vehicles in the parking lot of a business. While canvassing the area, officers found three other locations damaged from graffiti.

12900 block of Worldgate Drive. At 3:04 p.m. on March 29, graffiti was painted on a concrete pillar in a parking garage.

1100 block of Elden Street. At 3 p.m. on March 3, the hood, trunk fenders, bumpers and doors were scratched on a parked vehicle.

1200 block of Elden Street. At 1:50 p.m. on April 2, graffiti was sprayed in two community laundry rooms.

<cal1>Drunk in Public Arrests

<lst>600 block of Dulles Park Court. At 3:24 p.m. on April 3, Miguel Martinez, a 30-year-old male of Herndon, was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

1000 block of Elden Street. At 9:15 p.m. on April 3, Jorge Lopez, a 35-year-old male of Herndon, was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

200 block of Elden Street. At 2:55 a.m. on March 29, John Benedetto, a 22-year-old male of no fixed address, was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

200 Block Elden Street. At 3:54 a.m. on March 29, James Craft, a 30-year-old male of North Royalton, Ohio, was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

<cal1>Larceny

<lst>400 block of Elden Street. At 7:37 p.m. on March 30, a 15-year-old female juvenile was released on a summons to her father for shoplifting. A petition will be obtained at a later date.

400 block of Elden Street. At 2:34 p.m. on April 3, Ruth Murcia, a 20-year-old female of Herndon, and Oscar Argueta, a 19-year-old male of Herndon, were issued summons for shoplifting and they were banned from the property.

400 block of Elden Street. At 11:34 a.m. on April 4, Joel Crowe, a 20 year-old male of Herndon, was issued a summons for concealment and banned from the business.

12900 block of Worldgate Drive. At 3:30 p.m. on March 29, a wallet containing identification cards, cash and credit cards was removed from a secured locker. Charges were also made in the surrounding area on two of the credit cards. This case remains active.

Worldgate Drive/Alton Square. At 7:50 a.m. on April 2, a stolen vehicle from Fairfax County was recovered when the vehicle was seen entering the town. The driver, Edwin Gallardo, an 18-year-old male of Herndon, was taken into custody and turned over to Fairfax County Police.

1200 block of Bond Street. On 12:15 a.m. on March 29, a 55-gallon trash can was taken from the front of a residence.

900 block of Park Avenue. At 1:47 on April 3, the rear license plate was removed from a vehicle.

<cal1>Other Violations

<lst>Bluemont Court/Bond Street. At 2:40 p.m. on March 28, an officer identified a subject that was trespassing. A summons was obtained.

1100 block of Elden Street. At 8:25 p.m. on April 3, Gerardo Aguilar, a 35-year-old male of Herndon, was issued a summons for open container.

1200 block of Elden Street. At 12:56 a.m. on April 4, Cesar Fuentes-Cardenas, a 26-year-old male of Herndon, was issued a summons for noise violation. Fuentes-Cardenas became uncooperative and combative and would not sign the summons, according to police. He was then arrested for obstruction of justice and was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and was held on a $1000 bond.

300 block of Reneau Way. At 7:47 p.m. on April 2, there was a noise violation and a verbal warning was given.

700 block of Elden Street. At 1:58 p.m. on March 31, Robert Weeks, a 32-year-old male of no fixed address, was arrested for defrauding an innkeeper. Weeks was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and held on a $1500 bond.

700 block of Center Street. At 5:39 p.m. on April 3, Samuel Portillo, a 27-year-old male of Herndon, was issued a summons for urinating in public.

<cal1>Narcotics Violation

<lst>1100 block of Waterford Place. At 10:39 p.m. on April 3, Thomas Portillo Lopez, a 28-year-old male of Herndon, was arrested for driving under the influence and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. Upon searching Lopez, a small clear baggie with cocaine was found. A second warrant for possession of cocaine was obtained. Lopez was held on a $2000 bond.
