Court Case Continued

The criminal case of an 18-year-old man accused of chasing a Sterling man and cutting him with a knife or a machete has been continued in General District Court, officials say.

Rossi Anderson Harricharan of Sterling is facing charges of malicious wounding and breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony. Commonwealth's Attorney James Plowman and a court clerk said Monday that a preliminary hearing will be held on April 21.

He is one of three or four people believed to have been involved in chasing the 21-year-old victim in February, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. The victim received serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. Kraig Troxell, a Sheriff's Office spokesman, said the incident appeared to be drug-related.

Plowman said the victim failed to appear in court last week, triggering the delay.
