Zareen Kolia of Herndon, formerly of Fairfax, recently received a juris doctor degree from New England School of Law. A 1993 graduate of Falls Church High School and a 1997 graduate of Georgetown University, she is the daughter of Dr. Gulam-Mohmed Kolia and Mehrunnesa Kolia of Herndon. She is a legal product specialist for Deutsche Bank-Deutsche Asset Management in Boston.

Kevin Miyamoto of Fairfax was among those named as winners of Denison University's David Tin HLA Scholarship, a scholarship available to qualified students, who are chosen on the basis of strong academic performance. Miyamoto, a 2005 graduate of Oakton High School, is the son of Marilyn and Wes Miyamoto of Fairfax.

Melanie Chidester of Fairfax earned dean's list honors for the spring 2005 semester at Lynchburg College. Chidester, a 2003 graduate of James W. Robinson Secondary School, is the daughter of Augustus and Sandy Chidester of Fairfax.

Michelle Gillespie earned dean's list honors for the spring 2005 semester at Lynchburg College. She is the daughter of Gerard and Elizabeth Gillespie of Fairfax.

Russell Sleeper of Fairfax earned dean's list honors for the spring 2005 semester at Lynchburg College. Sleeper, a graduate of James W. Robinson Secondary School, is the son of Charles and Julia Sleeper of Fairfax.

Mary Mohay has recently been selected as a Connection Leader at Lynchburg College. Connection Leaders help new students make a successful transition to the college by establishing solid academic and co-curricular foundations. Mohay, a graduate of James W. Robinson Secondary School, is the daughter of Mark Mohay of Bentonville and Mary Mohay of Fairfax.

Devon E. Barker of Fairfax has recently become recognized as a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda at James Madison University.
