The following students from the McLean area have been named to the dean's list at Marymount University for the fall semester and '05-'06 academic school year: Mansour Al-Mifgai, Mohammed Al-Modadi, Mariam Assakkaf, Stephanie Burke, Saif Dahbashi, Georges Eid, Rima Eid, Sandra Fard, Alexander G. Ghareeb, Dominique Guillen, Constance R. Jamu, Zachary Kehayov, Kimberly A. Kempf, James McClintock, Stella Photiou, Christine Tegner, Leslie Watkins, Jennifer Weaver.

Cadet Michael Philip Jaeger of McLean was honored for outstanding academic achievment at the Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina for the fall semester.

Kelly Jo Stroud of Vienna, a Wake Forest University student, has been named to the university's dean's list for fall semester, 2005. Students who achieve a 3.0 or higher grade point average were named to the list. Stroud is the daughter of Debby Stroud of Vienna and Joe Stroud of McLean.

Mark J. Walters of McLean has been named to the dean's list at Beloit College for the fall semester.

John Q. Aminzay of McLean received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree, from the University of Iowa at the fall commencement ceremonies in December.

Jeffery Jae-Hyung Shim recently became a member of Dickinson College’s Upsilon Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, a national leadership honor society. A graduate of McLean High School, he is the son of Yoon-joe and Yang-shin Shim of Seoul, Korea.

Elysha Chang of McLean, daughter of Paul K Chang and Yuchen C Chang, was named to the honor list of Oxford College, the two-year liberal arts division of Emory University located in Oxford, Georgia.

Michael McCamman of McLean, son of John W McCamman and Joan R McCamman, was named to the merit list of Oxford College.

Kathleen R. Peck of McLean has received a B.S. in Journalism from Boston University.

Meredith Hurt and Vanessa Meccarelli of McLean have been named to Syracuse University College of Human services and Health Profession's dean's list.

Marissa Wegener of McLean and Laura Spencer of Oakton have been named to the dean's list of the College of Arts and Sciences at Syracuse University.

Jessica Prager Schulman of McLean has been named to the dean's list of University of Rochester. She is the daughter of Steve Schulman and Rolly Prager and a graduate of Langley High School.

Taylor A. Biesel of McLean has recently been named to the dean's list at Boston University for the fall semester.

Anna Altieri of McLean earned dean's list honors for the 2005 fall semester at Lynchburg College. She is the daughter of Margaret Altieri.

Leah Pike and David Raber of McLean were named to the dean's list for fall 2005 semester at Washington University in St. Louis.

The following Virginia Tech students from McLean were among those honored at the university's Fall Commencement Ceremony held Dec. 16 in Cassell Coliseum:

Rupert Alfiler received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree in mechanical engineering; David Chen received a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences; Luke Crawford received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree, cum laude, in civil engineering; Bridget Eldridge received a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication; Stephen Macatuno received a Bachelor of Science in Business degree in marketing management; Lisamarie Pettersson received a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English; Wynn Thompson received a Bachelor of Science in Business degree; Miryoung You received a Bachelor of Science in Business degree in accounting and information systems; Areej Alnaqbi received a Bachelor of Science in Business degree, magna cum laude, in finance; Elizabeth MacKinnon received a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology; Steve Na received a Bachelor of Science in Business degree in marketing management; Melinda Schlenk received a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences from the College of Science.

Christina Lacci and Kathleen Lacci of McLean have been named to the dean's list for the fall semester at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Allison Marie Caras of McLean, a sophomore at Gettysburg College, has been named to the dean's list for outstanding achievemnt for the fall semester.

Katie Karamales Kapoor of McLean was named to the faculty list of honorable mention for the fall term 2005-2006 at Roanoke College.

Washington University in St. Louis is has annouced the addition of these McLean residents to the dean's list for the academic year '05-'06. The university recognizes Anne Kristol, the daughter of Susan and William Kristol and a graduate of Madeira; Leah Pike, the daughter of Barbara Sarshik and Andrew Pike and graduate of Thomas Jefferson High; David Raber, the son of Suzanne and John Raber and a gradate of Thomas Jefferson High; and Claire Kelly, the daughter of Carol and Alan Kelly and a graduate of Madeira.
