Weichert, Realtors is sending large shamrock posters wishing "love, luck and prayers" to U.S. military members serving overseas. The posters are being signed with personal messages from Weichert agents and staff as well as the public and will be mailed to the troops in time for St. Patrick's Day.

The Loudoun County Department of Family Services will hold its next "Homeownership 101" workshop Monday, March 12 and Wednesday, March 14, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., at the Cascades Library, 21030 Whitfield Place, Potomac Falls.

The education workshop assists potential first-time home buyers in understanding the home-buying process. The six-hour workshop covers a number of topics relating to home ownership, including budgeting, credit, working with Realtors, the mortgage process and what to expect at settlement.

Attendance at both sessions is required. Participants must preregister by contacting Chris Vogel of the Department of Family Services at 703-777-0353 (V/TTY).
