Christine Birkenstock has been selected as the executive director of the Loudoun County Chapter of the American Red Cross. Birkenstock was the executive director of the FDNY Foundation, the official foundation of the New York City Fire Department. One of her goals is to increase community involvement with the organization. While the support provided by the chapter is meeting the demands of Loudoun county’s growth, support for the chapter has not kept pace. SkyLink USA, a Loudoun-based company that specializes in transportation logistics, airport management, disaster relief and aviation support services, hired Colleen Henry as a program support specialist for peacekeeping and international relief services. Prior to joining SkyLink, Henry worked as a staff assistant for the International Monetary Fund in Washington, D.C.
