Gym & Fitness Inc. specializing in boxing, kickboxing and aikido for fitness and self-defense is now open. It is located at 44710 Cape Court, second floor. A grand opening will be Sept. 8. DivaFit Pole Dancing Studio of Ashburn is celebrating its one-year anniversary Saturday, Sept. 8, with a fund-raiser for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. In celebration of its anniversary, DivaFit is offering an array of classes free to the public, but donations are requested, with all proceeds going to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Critical Power Solutions International Inc. announced that the company has acquired all outstanding ownership interests of Elevated Security Inc., a leading provider of alternative energy powered platforms and solutions, headquartered in Ashburn.

Marriott International Inc. recently celebrated the grand opening of the 158-suite SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Sterling. This all-suite property is located at 22595 Shaw Road. The celebration was attended by dignitaries from Loudoun County, Sterling and the Dulles Corridor; along with executives from Marriott, International and partner Southwest Airlines. In addition to these dignitaries the hotel celebrated welcoming their first group, the Special Olympics.

Apple Federal Credit Union’s first branch in Loudoun County, located off of Cascades Parkway at 21361 Gentry Drive, is now open. The branch opened for business Friday, Aug. 10.

Comcast announced that effective Aug. 18, it added more than 50 new digital channels, including several in high-definition (HD), to its Loudoun County channel lineup.
