The Sterling Playmakers announce open auditions for its season opening Agatha Christie's "The Mousetrap." Auditions to be held Friday, Sept. 7, 7-9:30 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 8, 1-4 p.m., at the Sterling Middle School theatre, 201 West Holly Ave., Sterling. Roles for five men and three women ages 20 and up are available. The audition will consist of cold readings from the script. All roles are open. Contact mousetrap@sterlingplaymakers.com.

The College Community Theater, in residence at Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), Loudoun campus, announces auditions for its fall production "The Children’s Hour" by Lillian Hellman. Auditions will be held Friday, Sept. 14, from 7-9 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 15, from 12-2 p.m. Call backs are Sunday, Sept. 16, from 12-2 p.m. Actors will be asked to read scenes from the play. All auditions take place in the Waddell Theater, NOVA Loudoun Campus. Fourteen females ages 14 and up and one male in his 30s are needed for this production.
