Station 4: Fire and Rescue

The Herndon Fire Station 4 is located at 680 Spring St. The most common emergencies seen in Herndon are medical-related, requiring the medic unit, but all personnel are prepared to fight fires and assist in hazardous materials emergencies as well.

The Fire and Rescue Department boasts an average response time of six minutes to all emergencies. The station can be reached by calling 703-437-1233. The non-emergency number is 703-691-2131, which contacts dispatch for all law enforcement and rescue departments. In the event of any emergency, one should always call 911. The Herndon station has three platoons that take different daily and nightly shifts. This is to insure that all fire fighters are well rested. At the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department many classes and information in public safety, including children’s safety and CPR are available.
