A Community Shred sponsored by Acacia Federal Savings Bank is scheduled for Saturday, June 14, 8 a.m. - 12 noon in the parking lot of their building at 7600 Leesburg Pike (across Rt. 7 from Marshall High School and just West of the Tysons-Pimmit Library). Individuals can bring up to five standard boxes or large trash bags per car to be shredded in a safe, secure environment.

Men’s Summer Basketball League sponsored by the Vienna Parks and Recreation Department begins June 18 through August 10. Two 10-team divisions will play a round-robin schedule, with the top teams from each division competing in a league championship tournament. The Freeman Store and Museum is hosting a used book sale on Saturday, June 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, June 15 from noon until 5 pm. The store is looking for donations of clean used books.
